Well, will you look at who’s on the list! Did anyone really think this gentleman wouldn’t show up? Well, there’s no Beatles or Rolling Stones on the list, so you never know. But come on, the King?! He’s gotta be here! And he is!
(Marie’s the Name) His Latest Flame - Elvis Presley
Funny story time: we were having our “picking party” after dinner and before the keynote session at the country music conference one year. It was at Studio B, where countless songs in pop, rock, and country were recorded. When it came around to me, I broke into this song. (Easy to play, G to Em.) One of our historians, after I was finished, said, “You know, you’re standing right where Elvis was standing when he recorded that song.” I ran, expecting the walls to fall in.
My favorite Elvis song. It didn’t hit #1, and didn’t make it to the country chart (unlike a lot of his songs). It was a “double A side” (as were many of his singles), with “Little Sister” being the other side. Nah, this is the song for me.

I was never a big Elvis fan. I like Blue Christmas. Have a good day.

Well! Worthless trivia: he didn’t really like “Blue Christmas,” so he recorded it that way to sabotage the recording. It backfired.

It's Elvis. What else is there to say? They say he is still alive and finally it can be proven through a small town southern pastor named Bob Joyce. Of course, I don't believe it...but if you watch and listen to Bob Joyce it does give you at least a modicum of pause.

I liked the song but preferred Little Sister. Naughty sister (at least the eldest).
