Now we can see the documentary about Christopher Reeve at the cinema. And I´m sure that later on we will be able to see it on TV via Netflix or the like.
I did not care much about the super hero when he flew about in his blue dress and red cape. I had read about it when I was a child and knew all about the cartoons, the kriptonite and all the crap. And I had outgrown it.
But then, the very much human being Christopher Reeve who played Superman fell off his horse. And unlike a super hero, he did not get well with magic.
But then he became a real superhero.
He helped investigation to cure that problem that had him tied to a special wheel chair. And it worked.
Before he died, President Obama gave him a medal (to him and to his loving wife). Because thanks to him, other people that had suffered the same accident were walking again.
These are the super heroes I like. We don´t need Superman or Spiderman. In fact, it would be better if we didn´t. Every year a little boy or two dies trying to fly like a hero and falling from a balcony.
But we need heroes who care for other human beings.

I never cared for Superman; but I was sad to hear about Reeve's accident. I'm glad he used his disability to help others.

He really did. Now some people with his problems have been able to walk again.

I wish he could have found the cure he was looking for. Unfortunately, it never happened for him. He did fall under the Superman curse though. He was not the only one who played Superman who did not find himself experiencing a tragic end.

Christopher Reeve had such a tragic accident but then it seems those playing superheroes have bad luck The original actor who played Superman on TV Geroge Reeves was most likely murdered,

Superman was always one of my favorites and Reeves had to be my favorite actor to ever portray him. Superman doesn't make little boys leap from buildings. Bad parenting and stupidity are responsible for that. But that's for another day. As for the documentary, I think I'd enjoy that one too.

Somewhere In Time is one of my favorite movies. He made a great Superman, but still, I liked that movie the best of all.

@MarieCoyle But I will wait until it comes to my TV. I don´t go to the cinema as I used to when my husband was alive.
