Just sit there

Okay, I will admit I am strange. I love to get up early, while it is still dark. And I do not turn on lights.
I have little night lights throughout the house, and some flashlights or lanterns. I have my "happy light" that I can set a timer on, and I use it to navigate places.
The last two mornings I have found that if I sit in my arm chair, lights out, I can see the stars outside. I am having a good view of the Big Dipper at this season ion my life.
That "just before morning" time is beautiful and peaceful.

Alot of people love to get up early just for that reason. This time of the year though it is too cold in here though to comfortably do that.

As long as I am not in the kitchen, Bruno does not beg. He likes to sit with me.

I have never been a morning person. I usually get my time to myself later in the evening...but I get you, we all need to find a time of peace to do a bit of thinking and reflecting.

Yes, late evening is the best time for some people. We need a little quiet.

Yes, and when we scramble to find quiet time, sometimes we get inventive...I know I can enjoy quiet time whenever and wherever I can find it on hectic days.

I hardly ever turn the lights on in my cabin other than to work
on the stuff I need to go through in boxes to get rid of & get
things organized which is a job in itself at the speed I'm going.

Oh, I know that feeling well. Take some time to rest for yourself though.

@GardenGerty I do cause I can't hold up like I use to
my back just kills me when I get on a roll to get things
done & have to stop every so often to get going again.

Just some time to quiet my thoughts and not rush so much.

We have way too much light palition here, but the dark is really nice. George likes going out as the sun is setting or just set and look at the night sky. So, I can see where you're coming from.

I have lived places with lots of light pollution. I also think the setting sun is lovely.

@GardenGerty So do I. I don't always like it if I happen to look out the kitchen window at the wrong time. But, for the most part, I love it.

You would be more of a star gazer. I have always been an early riser.

It is. We are far enough from any large city that we have great views of the sky.

I'm sure it's nice when the house is all quiet. Enjoy your stars and have a good weekend.
