We struck gold today

Once again, things have fallen into our lap. We went off today to look at motor-homes. We didn’t expect to find one but we needed to get more idea of what was available, and how much we’d need to spend. We’d been searching the internet but that didn’t seem to be much help either. We wanted either an island double bed or single beds. With the bed we had in our van in Europe I had to climb over Vince if I wanted to get out of bed. That was okay ten years ago but it’s not the ideal setup now. At our first stop, there was only one second-hand campervan which had single beds but next to no storage. But we struck gold at the next place. A van had just come in – an Iveco Esperance which was a good sign as we used to live in Esperance and our house plan here is Esperance. More next time! It looks very nice. I have a question though, what is the purpose of the screen in front of the lower part of the windshield?

Thanks. The shield is a stone guard. Sometimes, when a vehicle passes you, they throw up stones which can break your windshield. It happens most on gravel roads.

@JudyEv Why don't hotels allow their parkings to be used during night times....beats me....they can earn like that...when day time guests leave...

And in the day between the two, Vince's brother bought the Prado from us which was the other part of the equation. Sell the caravan and Prado and replace them with the motor-home.

Thanks. It's about the same size as the caravan really but self-propelling.

We pick it up in five to ten days. It has all the mechanics, electricals, checked then a full service then an 'induction'. It comes with a three-year warranty.
