Good evening from cold Green Bay, Wisconsin where snowflakes flurry through the air and the Packers play the Dolphins at home in three hours. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have something to be thankful for not only today, but every day. It's been a good year for being thankful. I have a roof over my head, a wonderful place to call home, good friends and neighbors; a wonderful church family, friends and family to help me get where I need to go - I'm still without a car. I'm thankful the work I'm doing on my books, that's plural. I can't just work on one. I got some work done on Love's Illusions today. It's one of those I will publish in the next two years. I no longer know in which order I'll publish the books I plan to publish. They all need work. I'm thankful for the author event I had earlier this month. I sold 13 books. I was also the guest speaker at the Social Club here at the complex last month. I spoke about being an author and sold 11 books total. Four the day before the event, six at the event, and one a week later. So, I'm doing well selling them in person. I'm still losing weight an ounce at a time it seems. With the holidays here again, I'll need to pay close attention to the sweets people want to give me. At least I sent the pie home with my son yesterday. I had Thanksgiving dinner here yesterday with my son, his girlfriend and my neighbor. I decided it's my last time hosting. I'm getting too old for all it entails. The dinner turned out perfect, but I was exhausted. Moving is still in the works, but I don't know when that will happen. The wait list is very long. There's another 50+ complex under construction. It won't be completed until next year. I plan on putting my name in for an apartment there if they take Housing. That one offers an outdoor pool, pickleball court, and a branch of the library on the first floor along with a cafe open to the public. As you can see, I have much to be thankful for this year. I'm especially thankful for my relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ. I also post my Bible study on Word Press. I gained a couple more people on my e-mail list for the Bible study, which always excites me. On the home front, I've become closer friends with my neighbor. We're watching TV together at the end of the day. I help her by putting drops in her eyes twice a day. I'm thankful for all the blessings God has given me over the past year and I look forward to more blessings in the future. What are you thankful for today and this year? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. I'm also thankful for snow.

I'm glad you have much to be thankful for. A warm house is important at this time of year. I'm glad you don't have any white crap. None here either, just flurries and they don't add up.

I miss your near-daily 'What I'm thankful for today posts', but I know mylot has taken a back seat to real life events in your life. Never the less, I am thankful you still pop on every now and again to let us know you're alive and that you're doing well. I am thankful that George is home with me. I am thankful to be able to watch t.v. with him, or that he's here at all. He in many ways is my best friend, and I'm thankful everyday for him.

I’m thankful for a great family, especially my dad’s side as there is no more of my mom’s really left. I’m thankful for friends, especially my best friend who has been closer to me than my own sister. I’m thankful we just planned a family cruise to Canada next September, and my dad is paying my way. Also for my dog, Sadie, Mylot, and sports! But like you said, most importantly, I’m thankful for my personal relationship with Jesus.

@just4him I phrased that wrong. When I said we’re planning a cruise I meant my family is.

Congrats on folks buying your books. Congrats on working through them. I'm grateful that we've moved into a milder part of my state. I'm grateful that I don't have to drive the freeway to get anywhere.

@just4him We get quite a bit of morning fog here. Driving near semi trucks in such conditions really bothers me.

I am thankful for my home, friends and family. My oldest daughter had a tough year going through a divorce, but came out on the better side. She has met a nice christian man and they plan on getting married next Fall. She was pitched a curve ball last week in being served papers from the ex where he is petitioning the court for 50/50 custody of their 6 yr. old daughter. I pray that this does not happen. This man is evil. He killed their pet dog. Let poison out and the dog ate it. He can't care for a child. Asking for prayers for this situation.

We have a pickleball court near us. I'd never heard of the sport before we moved here.
