I added an image for the first time to one of my previous discussions and it generate good responses. And that got me thinking about adding images to discussions and the responses it generates.
I do agree visual content quickly capture attention of people and that could help a post to stand out. Plus, a picture could convey more than a thousand words. It does help to create a more persona; and relatable touch.
At the same time, I have seen discussions with not so relevant images. I have also seen few discussions with images but did not generate significant responses.
So, according to you does adding an image to discussion encourage more mylotters to respond?

@JudyEv I was just making a joke based on your habit of posting pictures that have nothing to do with your posts. Whether this marks an actual thing you did, I don't know...but out of 4,658 discussions you have posted...it is certainly a possibility. lol

Whether adding an image grabs attention or not I would feel like a "fish out of water" , if for some technical reason or other l find l cannot add an image.
I just love selecting suitable images for my posts. In fact l have a gallery full of images waiting to be added to the right discussion.

I think an image definitely adds to the post. I try to make it relatable to what I'm posting, but I've seen others who just put a nice photo of something unrelated giving their discussion a nice touch.
The image seems to draw the viewer to the post's headline adding clarity to your topic post.

Perhaps true. However, I do not have any such preference and respond to most discussions in most areas. Thanks for sharing!

It can grab attention. In a way, it can make your discussion stand out. But like you said, it’s not just about the image—it’s how well it connects to the topic or the topic of your discussion itself that really encourages people to respond.
