Animal rescuers save an owl tangled in a net in Virginia

Two deputies with the New Kent County Sheriff's Office (NKCSO) which is located in New Kent Virginia answered an emergency call from a concerned citizen that a huge owl was entangled in a net that was left outside of a property on Friday December 6.
The two deputies with the NKCSO Animal Protection Unit were able to rescue the owl by being very careful to free the owl without injuring the animal who was able to go free into the wild after the rescue.

I wonder how long the owl was trapped for. It was good it could be disentangled without mishap to the large bird, especially as its feet claws seem pretty entangled in the picture there..

It is not known how long the owl was entangled in the net myself.
