Employees of the Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services answered an emergency call from an eyewitness who saw a female dog that was on the ledge of the Myrtle Avenue Bridge on what was most likely Sunday December 15. The animal control employees were able to rescue the female dog who was stuck on the ledge by using a leash on her neck and hoist her from the ledge to safety. I only hope that whoever placed the dog on the ledge of the bridge gets what is coming to them since even though the dog is now named Myrtle is now at an animal shelter getting ready to be adopted by a loving family soon since leaving a dog on the ledge of a bridge is inhumane. I am in agreement with you that someone who is heartless treats a dog like that.

I hope so as well since the dog is in great demand to be adopted according to the employees at the animal shelter.

The dog must be terrified, when I saw dogs on tiktok being abandon they are really scared, shaking, and they keep barking at the rescuer as they tried to hide. But i am glad myrtle is going to have a new loving home.

It is terrible to see dogs being left behind by ruthless people.

If someone did that, they are the worst kind of humans, and it is good that the poor dog never fell off, and was successfully rescued.

I agree with you since dogs do not deserve that kind of treatment.

It appears that Myrtle will be adopted soon since the reception from the rescuers is that Myrtle could be adopted soon since she is well liked.
