George decided to switch things up for New Years eve.

After a long outing, George tends to do a lot of sleeping and goes out once a day. But, today he was feeling real good and decided he wanted to go twice. It's the warmest it's been so far, at near 80 so it was nice he felt good to be out. Tomorrow will be cooler (65) but better then other years. And thuresday will be better at 62. Next week is when we start seeing highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's. I'm not looking forward to that, but then I have to remind myself that January and Febuary are the heart of Winter and that's going to be some of our worst days.

I am sure come winter's end, we'll have had one night in the 20's. It's not uncommon for us to have one or two hard freezes a year.

Weather in the 60s. It has dropped here to the 30s here. It has been raining nearly every day and occasionally we will get a bit of snow. Not much.

It is 39 at the moment here. With sun. I do expect weather to turn about the time I go back to work. Glad George felt like going out twice. It is good for him.

We have been so lucky here the last few days with very warm temperatures for our area. I’ve been stuck inside most of it though but it’s still nice even just to not have to run the furnace as much or if I have to run a bag of garbage out to not freeze.

I remember when it got down to fifteen degrees in Jacksonville in 1981, just before I transferred to Norfolk. That was also, of course, the night my heater decided to stop working.

I grew up in St. Augustine and I remember some winters where the low was 19 and below. It was rare. But, it's happened.

Enjoy the warm as much as possible. Perhaps the cold weather could be on corner and then it would be too cold to go out. And it was perhaps refreshing for George to go out twice a day. He definitely enjoyed the warmth for sure. I am having more warmth than ever , no cool breeze or anything for last 2 weeks. It would be soon summer and I am little worried about the heatwaves and the cimate change. It has been horrible last 2 years. At times there are outages and that makes things worse. Well, enjoy the time!
