A person who is being called a "Grinch" who stole a statue of a baby Jesus from a nativity scene at Old Town Square in Fort Collins Colorado on Tuesday December 17 was seen on surveillance camera that was shown on social media. The thief decided to return the statue of baby Jesus to the Poudre Fire Authority Station 1 in Fort Collins four days later with a note attached saying that he was sorry for stealing a statue of a baby Jesus and would not do it again. The Fort Collins Police report that the owner of the business that owns the nativity scene will not press charges against the thief who must have been overwhelmed by guilt to the point of returning the baby Jesus statue before Christmas Day. I am in agreement with you since stealing religious items does have consequences.

I know if I was in the shoes of the thief and stole a statue of a baby Jesus, I would be scared as well.

It's good that this person had a fit of guilt before Christmas. Made for a better holiday for all involved.

Thats kinda entertaining, but i hope that the true Jesus, the only living God, is changing the heart of that person big time, so he can have a much better life in the present and in the future.

There are "nice" thieves as well who got sense of what he is doing. Stealing is definitely a sin but stealing from God and from needy is unforgiveable . This thief was guilty as soon as he got sense . And of al days , day before the Christmas day . He returned Baby Jesus as soon as possible. His note was all about asking for forgiveness. I also feel for the owner of the business . He forgave the person who broke in. A big salute to him . Atleast the thief learned some lesson. Hope he would turn that into a good page in his life. Thanks for sharing as usual some inspiring incidents.

I'm glad he returned it but I wonder if he would have done so if he hadn't worked out that his actions were on camera.
