Oh, Canada

Well, just when you weren't expecting curveballs, here comes a curveball. But isn't that the whole purpose of a curveball? To offer an element of surprise that throws you off your game?
There is a silver lining, of course. When it comes to money I am always prepared for the unexpected. It's one of the elements of survival, I think. I am sure I read it somewhere.
If you are always prepared, you are never unprepared.
Either that's a brilliantly obvious statement or I just made it up.
My sister contacted me earlier today to inform me that they had laid out a plan for a summer vacation this year. None other than Quebec, and that is of course in Canada.
The thing is, it's just an expense I did not already pre-budget for, and it's a bit expensive. Not that we can't afford it. It's just that once I lay out all of our travel budgets for the year, which includes camping, I don't like to deviate, because it then requires me to make more maneuvers in the stock market to make up the difference, such as finding more covered calls to sell.
If anyone thought it was ever a mystery, when it comes to money, I tend to be a bit...anal retentive. But hey, don't be too hard on me. It has served me well over the decades.
I am interested in doing the trip, and so is my wife. I really don't want to spend the money. But I guess I will have to get creative and figure out how we can get this paid for without any money out of pocket.
Onward and upward. If anyone knows the right six numbers to win the lottery, now would be a good time to share those with me.

@porwest That's a shame, but it is what it is. One of the best ways to stay rich is to not spend any money.

@kaylachan That is certainly a key factor. Of course, when it comes to money there's another important thing to consider. You still have to live and enjoy things. So, once you have the right amount of money, it suddenly makes all the money you will ever need for you, and when that happens, you have much more freedom to enjoy it.
But it doesn't mean you want to go nuts and hop over to Canada, of course. lol

Well, the exchange rate should still be in your favor come summer, unless your fuhrer doesn't let you leave the country.

It probably will be rather expensive, but I bet it will be a great vacation. Be sure to post pics.
