A compliment from a volunteer

The photo of a willy wagtail has nothing to do with the discussion but was taken in the same city as the film festival which we attended last week. All the usherettes and bar staff are volunteers and most are middle-aged or older.
I was wearing white slacks and a floral blouse. As we were leaving, one of the volunteers, a woman, remarked on my pretty blouse, saying I had good taste, and adding that she had one the same. So we had a laugh about that and I was reminded of the time I was in an op shop (thrift shop) and I found a blouse the same as the one I was wearing at the time.
I held it up against my own and asked my friend if it suited me. She said no which was incredibly funny at the time.

Or, maybe she just didn't like the blouse.

@Juliaacv "Cleaver of her" -- now that's either a creative typo or a Freudian slip.

@Juliaacv @Fleura @BarBaraPrz She said it deliberately! It was very funny. It was a very clever response.

I've occassionally come across identical clothing to what I already have, but not too often.

I thought it was really funny and very quick on her part.

I guess by saying I had good taste, she was saying she had good taste too. We had a laugh about it.

I am sure you had a good laugh.
