That's what I think

I think Bob got up and had breakfast during the night. He had a portion of the breakfast casserole. Mind you, I do not care, it is just funny. He says it was not him, but you know, he was sleeping peacefully, and late this morning. I am pretty certain it was not me who did it, but someone removed the foil and had some. It was not Bruno, the cut was smooth. I have heard of people sleep eating in the past, and not remembering. I knew someone who said her husband brought pieces of chocolate cake to bed and left frosting on the pillows and denied it vehemently. He had no memory of it. If Bob is eating in the middle of the night that is okay. He does not eat enough during the day. I have seen him wake up and recite lists of numbers in his sleep and I have had conversations with him in his sleep. This does not really surprise me. What is your experience with nocturnal eating?

My dad did occasionally sleep eat when he was on Ambien. Diana would go in the kitchen, and food would be on the counter. He would have no memory of it, but he acknowledged it had to have been him. Since I drove in my sleep when I was on Ambien decades ago we were glad he didn’t do anything like leave the oven on. Because it looked like he had warmed up leftover pizza in the oven.

I am glad he still was safe and did not leave the oven on. Bob and I are not on any meds like that, thank goodness.

A doctor put my ex on Ambien for a while, we were still together then. He did not do well with it at all. He turned into a sleepwalker/sleepeater person who had no memory of anything he did in his sleep. We would wake up and he would have eaten an entire large cake, a gallon of ice cream, once he ate an entire large pan of lasagna I had made for the next day. (No, he was not a large man)...the last was when he went to the garage, in his sleep, with a box of ice cream bars. He sat in his car and decided he was cold, so he started his car to warm up while he ate the ice cream. All of the carbon monoxide detectors went off, we all bolted out of bed and found him nearly unconscious. That was the end of the Ambien.

Haven't had any experience with that but when we were teenagers and sharing a room, my older sister had a job interview in her sleep... I think she got the job, but of course when she woke up she didn't know where or what it was.

Too bad, it might have been a really good job.

@BarBaraPrz That is where we decide if a job is good or bad.

One of my sister’s ate in her sleep as a child. My mama would just walk her back to bed. She wouldn’t recall anything the next day.

My younger brother did other things, mostly getting up and walking in circles looking for the bathroom. Yes, mom would gently lead him where he needed to go and back to bed.

No experience whatsoever. I have often felt the urge to get up in the early hours to get something to eat but then I decide it is too much of a bother and I never do it,

See, that is how I feel. It is too much effort. IF I get up for the bathroom, and I feel hungry I will get a spoonful of peanut butter. I would not go to the trouble of opening the fridge, uncovering a dish, Spooning out a serving and heating it in the microwave.

I have no experience similar to this. But surely it is not the cat. It might have to do with his working hours. I have never eating while sleeping but several times lately I have wanted to eat very late if I have not eaten enough at the right time.

He does not have a job. No, the cat does not know how to open the refrigerator and would not have put the cover back on. Bob often says he sleeps better if he eats a little something at bed time, but I think this just really smelled enticing to him.

No experience at all with it but the evidence seems pretty conclusive.

I do not doubt it at all. I think if it had been me I would have noticed the after taste. I just know someone wanted a serving of that egg bake.
