Best Public Place to Take a Leak

Apparently that's a way to say "go to the toilet".
The city nearby doesn't have a place that serves that specific purpose, except perhaps at the train station and they'd charge you for the service anyway. A popular option is to visit a café and order something to get access to their restroom, so you get charged as well even if indirectly.
Luckily there are more options available!
The mall, but it was too far.
I could have visited the hospital... but meh.
Maybe the city hall has nice restrooms too, but eventually I chose the city library.
The place is pretty new and pretty neat, and so is the restroom.
It's also very quiet and everyone minds their own business. And so do I.
Last time I went there I actually read a book!
I didn't understand much. It was about serotonin and the gut, but it got really technical and I kind of lost track. Would probiotics help with depression then?
Am I going too off-topic now? I'm still talking about bowel business after all.
Anyway, what is the best public place in your area where to go when nature calls?

All public set ups such as bus stops, markets, etc. have facilities.

@allknowing That's great, I hope they're clean enough.
Here I get to see portable potties during some events but the thought of using one makes me claustrophobic.

I live in a small city, only 7,000 people here. There are two supermarkets with free toilets, the police station with a free toilet, the library with a free toilet... several gas stations and you just have to ask for the key to their bathrooms, no charge there, either... four parks around the city with free public restrooms...
I still remember bathrooms like in your picture... I was in my early twenties the last time I saw one like that.

I've never seen bathrooms like those, but they look like ancient portable potties and they're cute. Glad you got many places where to pee, I also live in a small town but I don't think the library here has convenient opening hours. The supermarkets probably have staff-only toilets, not sure about gas stations and parks barely have bushes.
Luckily it's small enough I can just go home.

@somewitch Yes I'd have to find somewhere but I guarantee there is nowhere to go here without someone being there..there are billions of people from all around the world here too.

@wolfgirl569 Glad it's usually not hard, what would the cleanest or most comfortable place be over there?

@somewitch We have a nice dark alleyway behind the supermarket that offers this service, but I prefer using the public swimming pool. Not the pool itself, unlike some, - the toilets in the changing room.

@xFiacre Nice dark alley?!
Do you mean for real or do people just hide to pee in the street?
Peeing in the pool would be more acceptable at that point. Anyway, is the public swimming pool also free? I don't think we have a thing such as free pools here.

@xFiacre It's nice they let you use the toilet even if you aren't going to use the facility.

@grenery8 Yeah, malls often come with large and clean restrooms. Pretty convenient unless it's crowded, definitely had to queue a few times before.

@snowy22315 Yeah, it might not seem like a big deal but filthy places hurt my soul to the core.

That is the reason I don't usually drink water when I am outside except if there is a good toilet. Coffee Shop and Malls here in Manila is clean, but on Malls for a much cleaning toilet you have to pay five pesos and it is really clean and smell good comfort room with powder room, and all you need is there specially when you need to poop. Lol!

@luisadannointed I don't drink and make sure to pee before I leave too, but my bladder has been an unforgiving spoiled brat lately.
Yeah, I'd pay 5 pesos for such service!

In big cities, usually there are malls where clean rest rooms are always available. I had an experience in one of my travels. We were travelling in the province where I came from. That was a long trip. I felt that I needed to pee so with my other companions. We could not find public rest rooms so we came into a house and asked if we could use their rest room. Then the owner let us in and use their rest room. We could not forget the kindness of the owner.

@pahak627 Yes, malls usually have nice clean restrooms you can use even for free.
Wow, that was very kind of the owner. You must have also looked quite trustworthy.

@JudyEv That's an important thing to keep in mind when travelling, a basic need to not give for granted. That's one of the reasons why I asked, I don't think I'm going to Western Australia anytime soon but it's good to know.
