I tried to go to my dental appointment today but my gate was frozen shut, the walkway was all ice, and by the time I turned onto the city sidewalk, I got a blast of snowflakes in my face. It didn't look like it was going to stop, so I turned around and put away my walker, came in, resceduled for Monday and went back to bed in pain. Then the sun came out. For a few minutes anyway.
I hate moaning about all this, but I hate the frustration, too.

I’m sorry to hear that. When it gets below freezing I don’t put the lock in my gate. During the snow & ice we had, I left the gate opened.

I don't actually have a lock on my gate, just a piece of wood wedged under it to keep it from banging around in the wind, and that was covered in ice, essentially cementing it in place.
