If you fall down how does your family, friends react? Do they laugh and make jokes? If they do you are still young. But, if they run up to you with their eyes wide and asking if you are okay-- you're old.

When you get up to your 70s and above you have to change your perspective on a few things. It's just time.

My family would offer to help me up. That offer has nothing to do with age. Just a kind family.

You want to know my sentiments. When you live alone like me I have a method, I hold onto the table corner and slowly get up from my PC chair then stand up and make sure I am mobile and then start moving, In other words life is a pip, a poop, and a pop,

Same here. I haven't gotten to point where I don't try to do it on my own though.

Either way I would prefer it if they would politely just carry on doing whatever they were doing and pretend they hadn't noticed me making a fool of myself!
