Poor Computer

I refuse to get iCloud or One Drive add-ons to my computer. I kept getting notifications that my computer was out of space. Yesterday it really got bad and my grandson and I spent most of the day getting rid of stuff to free up some space. Now it runs fast and is happy again. Shame on me for letting go so long without addressing the issue. So I apologize to you if some of my answers to your responses have been slow posting. The picture is from clker.com

I am in a real pickle with my desktop PC. My friend is trying to fix it and I work on my laptop which is getting more tired by the minute. If he cannot do anything I have to do two things buy the minimum on my next grocery order and get a new desktop from Amazon, I already saw some prices I could handle/ So March will be a poor month

I don't like iCloud either. I want to store my stuff on actual media, not virtual space somewhere that I can't really access. What sort of stuff did you get rid of?

I got rid of a lot of old writing, my grandson's stuff, and just old junk I will never use and didn't need to save. Also some pictures.

@BarBaraPrz ......Yes, it was very old and not being used anymore. We just forgot it was there. He has his backup on my computer too. All that is okay.

This is because every time there will be history stored on the computer and this will cause the storage space to fill up. We must provide at least 10% of the capacity so that it can run optimally. Glad your grandson was able to overcome the problem.

Yes, and I wasn't cleaning it out as I went along. My grandson spent some time and got it done.

I have both and it allows me to save things. My Chromebook is fast but has very little storage. It works for me because I can access my stuff no matter where I am or what I am using.

I'm glad you and your grandson cleaned out your computer. I did the same thing to mine not too long ago. It's also running better now.
