Yeah, let’s balance an easy listening song with this. Actually, part of this combination is to show you just how much music, especially “popular” music, changed in the space of 30 years. When I get to the 1965 list, you will be shocked at the change in ten years! Here’s today’s song from 40 years ago. Radioactive - The Firm Ah, the 80s…the decade of the “super band.” We had The Power Station (with Robert Palmer and two members of Duran Duran), Mike + the Mechanics (with Genesis keyboardist Mike Rutherford and vocalists Paul Young and Paul Carrack), and the biggest and best supergroup of all, the Traveling Wilburys (with all five members [Petty, Orbison, Harrison, Lynne, and Dylan] in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). So why not let a couple of guys from 70s superstars form a supergroup? In the case of The Firm, the primary players/names were Paul Rodgers, the vocalist for Bad Company, and Jimmy Page, the guitarist for some band (Lead Zipper lines, or something like that ). Both of them were on the same label (Swan Song, which was started by Led Zep), so why not? Rodgers said The Firm was designed as a one-off (“never meant to last more than two albums”), so the fact that they didn’t have a lot of hits was by design. This was their biggest hit, getting lots of FM rock airplay because of the popularity of both Bad Company and Led Zeppelin. It still rocks, 40 years later! Radioactive Written by Paul Rodgers Recorded by The Firm From The Firm, 1985 I’m not your captive:

Now that's a rocker for you! Don't stand to close to Jimmy Page's guitar playing he's definitely Radioactive. Always liked Paul Rodgers vocals, especially his classic "All Right Now" with the band Free. And his work with Bad Company is stellar. Helps to have Mick Ralphs (Mott the Hoople) and fellow bandmate from (Free) Simon Kirke and Boz Burrell (King Crimson) for the ride. It's really cool when guys in such successful bands form and put their talents together.

According to what Paul said, they looked at this is a “side project” (like all those other bands were taking up their time ) for an album or two.

I don’t know that one, but are they the same ones who did this?
