Change

Change is inevitable, without change we don't grow. I've made my 2 year plan and my five year plan..... the backup plan. Businesses close, jobs end. I do love my job but it's not a retirement job. Learning new skills, stepping out of the comfort zone, whatever it takes to make sure I will be able to live into old age, whatever that is, with comfort. Yes, I have plenty of skills for plenty of jobs but having your own business, growing your own food, etc. is awesome. How about you, got a five year plan?

Sort of, but it's not crystallized. Some depends on circumstances

Nope. Not even a two year plan, unless I decide to stay with the schools two more years. If I did it would be at reduced hours. I have tentative summer plans, though.

I can never plan Angie. No roots or home to do so. So surviving is first then plan for me anyway.

My five year plan is just to earn some extra money. I hope you have a good retirement.

I don't at the moment but it's good that you do. I guess we had plans years ago as we're pretty well set up for old age.

Love that mindset—preparing for the future while staying adaptable! Having your own business and growing your own food sounds like real freedom. I have some goals, but maybe I should work on a solid five-year plan too.

Kind of. Working on getting more critters so I buy less food

I never had the word "job" in my ultimate plan. To me retiring comfortably just means making the most I can possibly make, and then keeping more of what I make, saving and investing it wisely, and retiring comfortably when I want to. For me that was 50. As for plans. I always have a plan and always have had a plan. I knew what I wanted very early on and made sure to get there and then some. And of course, I am not done yet EVEN IF I am retired.
