When I saw the garbage truck coming to the intersection, I immediately brought my garbage to the intersection and placed it to the other garbage that were already there for pick up.
I don't have to wait the truck to pass by our place and I'm so glad that I did it. I can continue with the house chores without interruptions.

We place our garbage in a container by the street and I only hear the garbage truck emptying the container around 4 to 5 am once a week. Pretty usually takes our garbage out when we're leaving the house and I've placed a full trash bag beside the front door.

It's different here in our place. We have no container in the streets. We have to place our garbage in a designated area where people from the truck will get and place them on the truck. We have to see to it that our respective garbage will not be messed by stray cats and dogs.

@pahak627 Keeping stray animals out of the garbage is the reason we have containers by the street. The containers have lids on them so no animal can get at the bags we put in it.
Both ways should work well

@DaddyEvil That's nice having containers nearby. We have none however, I have my own container with lid but it's for our own garbage only which I only take whenever the truck passes by.

Here, our garbage is picked every day from our doorsteps. We have to put them sorted out in the dustbins and they come and pick it up. They pick green waste and other non reusable waste ( in two different dustbins) daily while Wednesday and Saturday are for dry recyclable waste. If we forget to put the dustbin out, they will check once by ringing the doorbell. The waste has to be segregated, else there is a huge fine.

@pahak627 Even we love it. Our apartment community is doing a great job in that regard. Our biodegradable wastes are turned to compost and residents can get them at very cheap throw away prices. My garden is very happy with that

@arunima25 That's good. Wish we could have that also in our place.

We put our containers out the night before, I miss the times when there were dumpsters and we could throw our little bag whenever we had to. Containers require space and we don't have much of it, on top of having to remember the days the garbage truck passes by.
