Oh great. Kitty just brought me a dead bird for breakfast.

It was already quite dead, but she was tossing it around as if it was trying to get away. I finally distracted her and put it out on my balcony. She doesn't seem that interested in it right now. I may toss it into the bushes if she doesn't go out and dine on it this morning.
She is chilling at my feet right now and seems quite satisfied with herself. What do you do when your cats bring you "treats"?

Thank God my cat doesn't go outside. My worst fear would be is if he found a mouse in the house and brought it for me to admire! It would probably happen while I was in bed or something

If she eats it and comes in to be sick, it won't be pretty...but hey. I tried.

Get the treats outside where they belong. Especially when a snake got in our apartment and Precious thought it was "string".

@TheHorse Nope. Too much work to clean them and then cook them

@wolfgirl569 Heh. It would take a lot of baby sparrows to fill me up.

What a loving and devoted cat, She really loves you, Back in Latvia when our cat Sid brought in field mice he usually played with them while they were half alive, My husband would get the mouse away from him and then toss it into the neighbors' yard.

My little female Buhund brought me a chipmunk one day. I screamed for my hubby and wouldn't let her inside.

@TheHorse I don't know. My husband handled it. I love our little chippies. I hope he/she was OK.

I remember back when I was a teen and still living at Mom's. The orange tabby mom had brought in a mice and presented it to mom like a present.

No pets or adopted furry friends here so no relatable experience!
Yet I think that I would have followed what you have done.
Kitty for sure seems to have found comfort in your company!
Have a nice day !

I thank my fur kids when they bring me prizes. Peter cat is mostly an indoor guy but he has all the instinctual moves of a good mouser. He loves to hunt down bottle caps and pack them around. Last week I found a bottle cap in my bedroom doorway. I thanked Peter for the gesture.

One of my cats would scare me when he would have on his mouth the body of a deceased mouse.
