CNN obtained access to footage of a unique moment at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, when a herd of elephants surrounded one another for safety as a relatively minor earthquake shook the area.

I did see the news report about the elephants taking care of their children when the earthquake hit San Diego. It was cute of the elephants taking care of each other.

I bet they were a bit scared. Poor things. I remember going to San Diego when I first came off the road with the carnival. A friend of mine invited me to come home with her. We went to the zoo. I felt so bad for the elephant I saw there. He was old, and the 'handler' was making him walk on a cement walkway. It's not good for their feet.

@celticeagle I believe nowadays all the animals are treated very well, Of course, animals get scared they don't know what is going on but nice they banded together,
