Yesterday when my husband and I walked in the park, we found two birds were making a nest together. Perhaps they will have babies soon. I don't know what these birds are called. I can only see they have red beaks and black feathers as you can see from the attached image.
They were making a nest on the lake. We looked at them in the bridge as well as others. It's so cute to see this in the city. They chose here because of nice environment and friendly people

Hello.
I put the image into Lens and it tells me that the species of Bird is a Common Moorhen
I'm sure if you walk the same walk in a few weeks that you may indeed see babies.
Great picture.

When I saw the image, first thing came to mind to check Lens but you already did. Thanks for sharing your research.

Lens is my best friend. I use it quite a lot.
Probably because I know so little about so much.

Such an interesting scene. I hope the birds are safe on that location.

In fact I doubt whether it is a good idea to make a nest on the lake. In the coming days it will be windy and rainy. Actually they can find better places to make the nest in the woods or other places. There are more better choices in the park. Now they draw everybody's attention

@youless That was actually what I was thinking but I don't know the situation in your place. I hope they can find a much safer place to build a nest.

@ARIES1973 It's a lake in the park. If people will hurt them, it still can be easy. But I am glad that people just look at them and nobody tend to do something to bother them

That is very interesting... If that happened here, I'd be tempted to check on them every day or two just to watch the chicks hatch and grow up.

@DaddyEvil If I go there next time, I need to bring my camera. A phone can not see much details

@youless Oh, that's too bad. I was hoping you'd upload pictures of the eggs and then the baby birds as they grow up.
But I understand about needing to work... It really cuts into our fun time.

I am not sure what variety of birds are they. It's so cute to witness such things in the hustle and bustle of the city. There is one ornamental plant in one corner of my terrace garden, a quiet corner. Every winter a family red neck Indian bulbul make nest on that.

I think seeing beautiful things while walking are little joy that only heaven can give. God bless.

If they are building a nest they are likely to be having babies sometime. Hope you get to see them too.
