Have you set your totally arbitrary financial goal for April 2025?

With the stock market being quite volatile right now, I am directing my cash into fixed income funds that yield about 4.25 per cent.
I still have some exposure to the stock market, but I am an older fella and want to be able to buy Tom Kha Gai any time I want it.
Trump's stock market is actually only down about 10 per cent. The 1929 crash was far more substantial, on a percentage basis. .
How are you allocating your funds right now?

What funds?
I have a wife who likes spending money so I don't have any funds.
I hope that you get a great return on your money though.

Well she has a very wide range of stuff she likes to buy.
Usually anything that seems like a good idea at the time.
A pie maker - used one, never to be seen again.
A spare coffee machine - incase all 3 we already have broke down.
Thrift stores- anything she picks up.
Etc etc

It was hard but I will soon reach there - just 8 more cents Since July I make payout every month I have fixed deposits and that's how my money is invested.

In rhis moment I´m getting richer by the moment. As I´m retired, I only have money to eat every month. Gone are the days of clothes and other luxuries. But as now I am ill, I don´t want to eat much so I´m not spending in that either

We cannot reach the end of the month without the announcement of ''Have you set your totally arbitrary financial goal for April 2025?'' by none other than The Horse, aka Pony, aka to me, The Horsie.
I remember the end of my first month here on the site. I read about your arbitrary goal thing and thought...what the heck is he talking about? But it's a classic to me by now, so I expect it. Keep on keepin' on, friend!

@MarieCoyle I am hurting a bit, like most Americans, but I am doing OK.

I've been spending money instead of saving it. I bought an electric scooter, and a big yellow bag of dirt, and a bunch of groceries...

@TheHorse No kidding but it'll be at least a month until I can eat anything from my garden.

I have to admit that i don't really understand stocks and shares ....and am too scared i would lose everything anyway !
I am looking at finding a little job i could do from home, maybe afternoons or evenings. Just to boost the pennies a bit.

I'm a little bit behind this month because of the times I was MIA. I still made payout though. As far as finances, at this point in retirement, I avoid the market and any volatile investments.
