It's Friday---Yay!!

Hey there everyone! It's Friday and the start of the weekend!
I have been busy since I got up this morning. I fed all the animals, started a small fire with a slow burn because we have a possibility of rain later, got a section of the garden read to plant some more watermelons, been going through notifications, and just multi-tasking all around. I just wanted to check in since I will be heading back outside soon!
I do believe we will get some rain this afternoon as it is clouding up and seems to be darker. I'm in our den right now and there is not much light coming through the windows.
What are you up to today? Regular day and routine or getting ready for the weekend?

That's pretty much the way it is going here. I had a Farmasi Messenger Chat party with two of my team members so they could see how easy it was and ways to make it fun and those two went wild. Now if I could only get a couple more to get busy!

It's Saturday in our place already and just done cleaning the house in the morning. I am now doing computer works and maybe a little later will have some rest. It would be interesting if you could let us know how you plant watermelon. Have a great day!

This year I planted seed about a week and half ago. I also started seed in small containers to be transplanted vs. buying plants. So, I have some of both. Last year the ones I planted did not survive, and hence no watermelons. Hoping for a good crop this year!

@ARIES1973 You are very welcome. I know last year they got planted late. And also something got into my small greenhouse, so the seed may have been eaten. I just tried to cover two bases with putting in plants and seed this year. I may plant some more in a few days, just to space them out.

It was storming here a little while ago and we have more storms moving in shortly.
I woke up about half an hour ago, caught up notifications and made pizza bites for lunch.

I did get some sleep, but that has been few and far between. I broke out in a rash on both legs and have been itching horribly! Nothing seems to work on it.

@kareng At least you could nap comfortably... I'm glad your electricity came back on that fast.
We have cloudy skies but the forecast says we won't see rain again until Tuesday. We also have a low tonight of 46F.

The good news I have is that after a very hot day we are now having rain Though it's just a drizzling; but it's rain after all. I'm glad your hope came true.

That is good that you stayed ahead of the storms. We had a pretty active one here this afternoon at dusk that brought some mighty high winds! It popped up out of the blue. Radar made it look like it would stay south of us and go northeast, but it got us good. The electricity went out for a couple of hours. I took advantage of that and took a nap.

@kareng — I saw that they had a couple of tornado warnings in Louisiana, but that dissipated by the time it got past Baton Rouge. Glad your electricity was only off for a couple of hours.

My Friday routine IS getting ready for the weekend! lol
No major plans this weekend though, except for watching the Kentucky Derby on Saturday evening. Other than that, I think it will be a nice, quiet and relaxing weekend. The girls are out of town this weekend, so I have the whole place to myself, and I'm going to use that time to just relax and do nothing.

Oh yeah!! The Derby is always fun to watch! Which horse are you pulling for? I gotta go with Render Judgment this year. That is one of Toby Keith's horses and that was his dream to someday have a horse running in the Derby. He has a great seat to watch it from!

@kareng I was rooting for Sandman since it's the name of a Metallica song, but part of me was also rooting for Render Judgement as well since it was Toby Keith's horse. I also was kind of interested in Baeza, because jockey Prat had already won two races earlier in the day and it would have been cool to see him win the main event as well.
