Would you follow this fun philosophy in real life?

Philosophies on life

They do have weird philosophies and quotes on mugs and keychains and stuff like this. I don't think we're meant to take it seriously! Showing your undies may not be a great thing to do except at the beach. It can get you into trouble in a few places. Do you live life like this?

I take care not to show my undies nowadays but I agree that some of the quotes on small items are very clever.

I'm sure I'd get disapproving looks if I showed them in a public space.

I have done that when I was younger and running with a certain crowd but haven't seen any of them in years and am getting older so probably not.

Real happiness does not come to us by doing any such action as this, even doing things like eating icecream, or chocolate, do not bring real happiness, to anyone. We should not try to chase happiness, by doing anything outside of us. Real happiness comes to us from out of us inwardly alive in us, and is not needed to be set alight by any outside event.

I guess we can still do some fun things as part of happiness.

@pitstop Yes, fun things with real happiness behind them, bring us to the joys of life, but fun things on their own, can quickly move to self-indulgence, if pursued extravagantly only on their own. We need some self-control over our actions, to prevent us from acting wantonly, chasing cheap frills, instead of living more deeply, from a true inner peace, joy, and happiness..
