A donkey that is owned by Jerry and Dierdre Carter ran away from their home in Lanesborough Massachusetts on Saturday evening when a bear entered his stall. An investigation resulted with the good news that Murty which is the name of the donkey was not hurt in the incident. Pittsfield Police Officer Darren Derby located Murty on Monday morning with the use of a drone near the former Skyline Country Club. Murty was reunited with his owner on Monday. @Deepizzaguy I used to live with a burro named Pedro (Peter.) He was a sweety though at times he could be ornery.

It's so good to see the poor animal back with its owner. Such type of reunion is always a treat to watch. What I found surprising is that drones were used abs police officer were involved in the search operation. What I mean to say is everyone took the donkey's missing so seriously. That's not the case here. We will let you know when we find the animal - whichever it may be. That's how replies we get here. Such things don't even come on the list. This is such a sad reality here.

I haven't seen a donkey yet and even a real bear. I would really be scary for a little donkey. Glad that the authorities found Murty alive and safe.

He was a smart donkey to escape the bear, who might have wanted donkey stew for his supper. The owner should fortify his stall to stop that bear from making a reappearance in the donkey's stall again.

You are right that the owner of the home should make changes to the stall..
