Ultimately what will come out of it?

Last night at about 2 in the morning India fired missiles at some targets in Pakistan. The action is said to be in retaliation of the killing of 26 tourists ( all men) by three militants on April 22 at Pahalgam , Kashmir. The outrage in India after the killings was quite normal. However, the frenzy that was orchestrated on tv and on social media was against Pakistan, as camps of those militants ( for India they were terrorists) are in Pakistan. It's reported quite many people have been killed in the missile attack. After all fire and smoke settles down what will come out of it? Will there be no terrorism or militancy in Kashmir? Those young men who killed the tourists have not been apprehended yet . Ultimately, what has changed after these two nations were created in 1947?

I agree, nothing will change... Pakistan MIGHT fire some missiles back at India and more innocent people will die.

Why did you quote Muslims in ( )? India is targetting terrorists not the civilians.

@Mshafeeq Sorry to see your comments. Terrorism In India has affected all religions. For your information, not only Hindus but many Muslims too have been killed in Terror activities in Kashmir and Jammu since 1990. What kind of misleading influences you are under is hard to understand. Even the hardliner on many issues - Asaduddin Owaisi has spoken against the Pahalgam killings and has hailed India's action.

Yes, the result of war is always bad as we have seen in the recent wars. But when a nation is supporting terrorism and that too for us then we should not keep quiet. We are against the terrorism not the religion or a nation.

@sjvg1976 I agree. India was left with no option but to retaliate. However, when I read news on NY Times and Al Jazeera, I have felt that Western and other media tends to hyphenate India and Pakistan and underplays the Terror support angle. However, some senators in US have supported Indian action and so does Israel.

@sjvg1976 Yes but I randomly checked a few Western Media news sites. Most downplayed the conflict and some fell for some of the fake Pakistani propaganda. I wonder why some of them tend to ignore the fact that our neighbor has been one of the biggest terror exporters to the complete world, not only India.

@sjvg1976 IMF is heavily influenced by US. From what i have heard, read and understood, some factors make US keep on supporting Pakistan. A)Keep Afghan Taliban and Iran in check. B)Keep someone ready as a transit to Central Asia. Else Iran and Afghanistan won't let that happen. C)Do not let China gain an even upper hand in Pakistan. Else, US might be happy that India took out those 9 terror camps.

Not 1 not 2. Yet 9 terror camps attacked and bought down to rubbles. These housed Jem, LeT, HM - many UN and otherwise designated international terrorists. Many of them have been killing people within Pakistan as well. If India had the capability, this should have been done after Mumbai Attacks 2008. or Parliament attack 2001. And if Pakistan says that innocents were killed on their side, I wonder if they equate innocents with terrorists? And well, you might have seen Asif Khawaja and Bilawal Bhutto admitting that Pakistan has had a history of supporting terrorists. Yes, terrorism can continue but at a much higher cost. And a country under a constant barrage of Terror and strife by a lunatic neighbor should be prepared for a War in severe situations.

It is all so pointless, isn't it? We've been hearing about it on our news. It's very worrying as I think both countries have nuclear missiles.
