Grimace Them Away?

I think it will need lots of grimaces over time to keep them at bay. l am talking about those stringy lines that appear on our necks as we grow older - ( l believe it is called " turkey neck"). I read somewhere that exercising the face muscles could stretch the neck muscles which would keep the neck firmer and line free. In this exercise you would have to grimace ( kind of like a grin from ear to ear but with lips firmly closed ). It should be done at least ten times at one sitting -- and seeing it looks a bit crazy, it is best done when one is alone. Last year l noticed one or two appearing and l tried the exercise , they have not gone completely, but no more have appeared.. Do you look for natural ways to age gracefully.

As a person gets older, the skin doesn't contract as well as it did when we were younger. As far as I know, surgery is the only way to get rid of those lines completely... No, I don't bother doing things like that. I seriously doubt you need to worry about it, either. You'll always be beautiful.

Wow! Flattery will get you everywhere - it is working Seriously though, I hope I never feel the urge to go under the knife for cosmetic reasons. Its hard enough trying to eat as healthy as I can in order to minimise the onset of lifestyle illnesses - and consequently some surgeries.

@Kandae11 You don't seem to be a very vain person so I doubt you'll decide you need cosmetic surgery. I've gained weight in the last few years but am trying to get rid of some of it. If I can't, then I won't be getting surgery for that. I'm vain about my looks, but not that vain.

@DaddyEvil If you really want to lose the weight - you can without surgery-- but you will have to cut out some of your favorite foods and eat lots of fiber. Perseverance is key. I moved from my highest weight (187lbs) in 2004 to my present weight of 110 lbs - and I have remained there for the past 10 years.

I have tried those. I find them fairly boring, and not sure how much good they do honestly.

@Kandae11 I actually had a neck tightening procedure today..it was on sale and was very low priced..However, it didn't make much of a difference. I think you have to go repeatedly, which I can't afford for any real obvious difference. t

@snowy22315 There is an important protein in our bodies called Collagen. It is responsible for keeping our skin hydrated and young. As we age our bodies do not make enough of it - hence the sagging skin and wrinkles. However , we can get collagen from supplements and certain foods. That should help along with the exercises and other procedures.

I don’t have those lines yet thankfully. I think those facial exercises just create more wrinkles in other places.

What I do is to really embrace myself as I grow older. And just eat fruits and exercise.

I don't have time to age gracefully at this time. But once I move, sleep will help with wrinkles.

@Kandae11 I know one thing. Don't worry and never harbour negative thoughts. Wrinkles will remain away from you

Yes. sometimes I do. I'm now using a cream to reduce my black eye bags. But it is still far from being eliminated. I don't dye my hair, though. They're all gray now, so people will know I am "old and wise". . Sometimes, I get special seats in the jeepney or the bus because of my gray hair.

I consider myself the old bat in the attic and as long as I can recognize the face in the mirror I am all right,

I don't' know if that exercise works but so far I think I'm aging gracefully. I would never consider surgery or even botox for wrinkles.

I guess some of these types of exercises work but I'm a bit dubious about this one.
