Today was a lovely spring day. Just the right amount of sunshine and warmth, and with a cool breeze, you needed a sweater.
The girls really wanted to go to the park today, they were barely done their lunch when they were asking to go. Of course it being a nice day, Grandpa could completely understand. That and the fact that their parents just got them a nice wagon to ride along in, was another reason.
After helping Grandpa clean up from lunch, stacking the dishwasher, washing their hands and making a potty they exclaimed that their baby dolls would like to go along with them.
Grandpa went to buckle the girls into the wagon, but they were already both buckled in, including their baby dolls. The girls put the babies on the ride on toys and let them have a little ride. Afterwards, they asked if they could walk home and give their baby dolls a ride alone, as they were sleeping at that point.
So, off they went, just ahead of Grandpa sweetly singing the Twinkle Twinkle song to put their babies into a deep slumber, while Grandpa snuck this picture of the girls.
I think that one day they will grow up to be very loving mommies themselves.

@jstory07 That is so coincidental that you write this, I have said several times over the past couple of months that if we could freeze time, they are at the perfect age to do that.
Today they are driving a few hours to the Toronto Zoo, they will have lots of stories to tell Grandpa and I tomorrow.

Thank you.
Every day he has come home for the past 2 plus years with such a smile and such stories to tell me.
I am very thankful that he worked as hard and long as he did when he was younger so that he could be able to enjoy this special time with the girls.
Today they are going to the Toronto Zoo together as a family. It is a bit of a drive of a few hours, but the girls will likely sleep for part of that way, they are still at the age when they nod off pretty easily in their car seats.

Thanks, I thought it was adorable.
They even put their water bottles in there for the babies, you cannot go outside in the sun without your water bottle you know.
He took some adorable pictures of them at the park putting their baby dolls onto the ride on some the toys there. They took good care to hold them tightly as we do to them.

We've been singing that song for 3 years already.
We are savouring every single day with them as they are young and unspoiled by the reality of life that they learn from other children in school when parents are not around.
I framed this picture and when my husband was gazing at it a little while ago, I told him that he has to think of it as a day in the life of.......

Thank you, and to imagine that their parents were not planning on having any children at all.
Today they are taking a drive, of about 3 hours to go to the Toronto Zoo, I am sure that they will have lots of stories to tell Grandpa and I tomorrow. I look forward to hearing all about their time there.

@LadyDuck They do not want to move Willow out of her carseat into a booster seat until Harper is ready but she is so far behind. But regardless, until they are 4 years old they are in the carseats facing rear. The carseats that I bought can be turned to face forward and I believe that they can stay in those that way for quite a while. After that it will be time for a booster seat, but they will be in school by then and we can surely use Jonathon's for the amount of times that they will ride with us.
