Happy Mother's Day

I hope you all are having a nice special day today.
I remember back to the late 70s and early 80s when I worked at the telephone company. We got hundreds of fellows trying to reach their mothers, calling collect or person-to-person, which was the thing back then. It was code that all was okay to the family from military and college kids who couldn't afford to call regularly. This one particular year, there were some bad storms in the eastern states, and they were frantically trying to reach their mothers to wish them a good day and be assured they were alright. What a time that was.

Happy Mother's Day to you too. I actually had to go to the Urgent Care here earlier today because I have an Ear Infection. I'm on antibiotics for 10 days.

Oh, great. My daughter woke up with sores in her nose. Not sure what that is yet. Always something it seems.
