We took a trip today by boat to Moni Island from Aegina. It’s uninhabited but a beach bar sets up every day for those who visit. A nice enough island with very tame deer and peacocks who come to chat and poop.
Today the human loo was out of order and there only was the one: we were there for 3 hours. It was lovely in that it was wild and covered in scrubby pine trees and I loved that. However a lot of rich young people come to anchor off it in their yachts and they can’t resist playing boom boom ‘music’ very loudly and it carries everywhere. Quite unsavoury.
Strangest bit for me was the boat ride. On the way over four girls sat up front on the small water taxi that held about 30 of us. It soon became apparent to everyone behind that the girls had slipped their tops off to get their bouncy bits tanned, and the craft we were cruising in had been transmogrified into a monster with an eight-breasted figurehead as it sliced through the waters of the Saronic gulf scaring some feint-hearted foe.

What a great feature for anyone with a good pair of binoculars.

I guess that's normal in that area. I would have been put off by the scene.
