...and my sister was right. He did not go home because he is courting the neighbor's dog. He is not neutered. I wonder if it is still good for him to be neutered. He did not voluntarily went home, my fathered fetched him.
I am grateful nothing happens to him and was not poisoned as what I initially thought. Now he is leashed.

It would help greatly if he was neutered. I"m glad he came back.

Since he’s not neutered, it's no surprise he went off on a little romantic adventure—spreading charm (and possibly his genes) around the neighborhood! Good thing your dad was able to fetch him and that nothing bad happened. I totally get the worry—these little escapes can give us quite a scare.
Now that he’s leashed, at least you’ve got some peace of mind. But yep, unless he gets neutered, his "love missions" might become a regular thing. Dogs have a way of following their instincts when the mood strikes!

If he was neutered he wouldn't be helping bring unwanted puppies into the world. And he might be happier to stay home too.

Of course he could be neutered. It will make him less aggressive and he will tend to stay home where he belongs.
