Why would I do that?

I just got a news report that in five states people should stay out of the sun! I have Vitamin D deficiency and I need some sun! The states mentioned were Arizona, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. I have family in Florida, Arizona and Texas. I would love to be in Florida, The Sunshine State! They said safety precaution because of UV rays. Well I need some sun, so I would definitly go out for awhile!

The ozone layer over Australia is very depleted and we're warned not to get too much sunshine. I take Vitamin D3 now.

@dfollin Yes, you can and you can use sunscreen too. And cover up with long sleeves, etc but then of course you're not getting the Vitamin D.

I take Vitamin D3 for my deficiency. They are gel tabs so they get into my system quickly.

I’m surprised Colorado is on the list, but I definitely understand the others. Staying out of the sun is something I have to do because of a medication I take.

Those are some hot states. I don't care for the heat. Maybe you will get your wish and get to go to Florida at some point. It is always nice to have family in states where you want to visit. Saves on hotel bills and keeps the family ties strong.

I have to take a Vit D supplement every day so being in the sun would be something I would enjoy even for a short time.

I take those supplements as well! Even if it's very hot I still go get some sun!
