Well my Mom is looking for a gardener. She is on her own now and at 87 next week she is finding her huge garden a bit too much. M y partner does help out a lot but he works away Monday to Friday and we have our garden to see to too. We have a freebie book delivered with local news etc in and also various workmen advertise. She found a guy that sounded just what she wanted and she phoned last week but he still hasn't got back to her. I messaged him early this morning and he hasn't replied to me either.
We are left wondering why he is paying to advertise in a new brochure if he isn't getting back to people .... it's not giving a very good first impression is it !!!

You never know, the guy might have already gotten more responses than he can handle.

@Traceyjayne It depends on how many responses he's gotten. I wouldn't want to spend any free time I still had constantly explaining that I'm overbooked. If it's in a booklet, then people have to understand that.

@Traceyjayne That's fine... Maybe he didn't think he'd get very many responses, though.

If a week has gone by and neither you nor you mom has heard from him I'd have to say he isn't very reliable and would hesitate to hire him to do the gardening.
Hope she finds one that is both reliable and affordable.

That's what I said to my Mom ....we phoned and messaged independantly so for all he knows we are unrelated enquiries. We will find someone else.

Pity you are not closer to me
I am a dab hand in the garden.
The guy you are trying to contact is probably up to his eyes with work just now.
It's not a good first impression right enough but there will no doubt be a good reason for it
