Sorry I’m a little late. We have a severe weather threat tomorrow, and I’ve been catching up on the weather vlogs. That’ll come later. Right now, it’s time to hit the wayback machine to go back fifty years to the year I started listening to rock and roll. Here’s a guy who’s been featured in every year he’s been recording that I’ve highlighted thus far.
Rockin’ All Over the World - John Fogerty
Yes, John Fogerty is back and rockin’! I’m tellin’ you, this guy made three GREAT albums in a row. The problem was, they were spaced out over twelve years. There was The Blue Ridge Rangers in 1973, Centerfield in 1985, and this one from 1975.
The best-known songs from this album…were by somebody else. Dave Edmunds covered “Almost Saturday Night” and had a hit; and, Status Quo made this song their second-best-known song (behind “Pictures of Matchstick Men”).
It’s a great road trip song, and a great John Fogerty song. You can’t go wrong either way.

Oh, he had a pretty successful solo career in the 80s.

It got lost in the shuffle between CCR and Fogerty’s 80s hits.

Don’t you have some Hawaiian to talk dirty in?
I notice you didn’t “nope” Lightfoot the other day.
