Tonight is the Preakness Stakes

This is the second leg of the Triple Crown of 3 year old horse races. It is in Maryland or Delaware--somewhere close enough that I know a lot of people who have attended it. I never have. Anyway I texted my ex to see what he bet and he said 1,2,8 exacta. When I bet I usually just pick a horse and bet win/place/show. I was impressed with his specificity. I told him I couldn't bet (never have figured out how to make online betting work) but I'd put $ on Clever Again. A couple of minutes later he responded that he put $2 on the horse to place/show for me. We shall see. Will you be watching the race in a couple of minutes?

No. I discovered why the owner so quickly decided that Sovereignty wouldn’t run in I the Preakness: the jockey who rode him in the Derby was fined and suspended for hitting the horse too many times with the riding crop.

I didn’t watch, but I saw who won, and I’m sure journalists will tie that into a Trump dig in a million different ways.

I know of the Preakness Stakes, Triple Crown, etc but don't watch them. My sister probably watched. She spends a lot of time watching horse-racing.
