Saturday and a Walmart Trip

Oh boy said nobody! LOL! I hate going to Walmart on a Saturday, but I found myself in need of a few things and didn't want to be stuck overnight without them, so off we went. All this medication is giving me other things I don't need or trying to, so gotta be prepared and try to ward it off!
Our Walmart is the only one in like 4-5 parishes and it gets wiped out on Saturdays in a lot of things. For instance, my hubby wanted me to get a couple of cases of bottled water, but they were sold out!
Since this trip delayed our dinner, we stopped for an Arby's Shake as a treat on the way to Walmart. Hubby dropped me off and went to fill the car up with gasoline. It was only $2.45/gal today! Nice price!
What did you do on your Saturday and how much is gasoline in your area?

Our gas was $3.33 a gallon when I brought son home from his appointment yesterday. I didn't check today. You got a bargain, for sure.

@kareng That is torture..the only thing I have found that helps is a brand called Sarna..unfragranced. And of course the prescription cream.
But the Sarna you can buy at Walmart.

@RebeccasFarm I have never heard of Sarna. I wish I had known about it yesterday when I was at Walmart! The essential oils worked pretty good and also believe it or not Vicks Vapo Rub was very good too.

Gas is $2.57 a gallon at our local Walmart right now. (They seem to be having a gas price war with a new station across the street from them. I hope the price keeps going down for a while more.)
I have been dizzy and falling down all day today so Pretty finally told me to stay in bed and she's been bringing me things... I did get up and used my cane to get around the house to help her cook dinner earlier and then again to go in and wash the dishes. Even the medication that is supposed to help me when I get dizzy didn't work .
We still need to go to Walmart to pick up our meds... Hopefully, I can drive us tomorrow.

@DaddyEvil I was also born in the 60's and can remember gasoline at $.19/gal. Gas wars started in the 60's but were not very popular until the early 70's. It was a continual thing here in the South with all of the refineries so close and some local.

@kareng I was born in the 60s... I only remember the gas wars of the 80s. And there weren't many of them then.
Thank you.

That's not a bad thing to see on gas these days $2.45/gal
ours is still in the 3 $ area still, but maybe it will get better.
We went to Lowe's to get some stuff for the kitchen &
walked out spending a 1000 $ for 4 items hum hum hum
but it's going to make the kitchen look SO GOOD.

@kareng We got my cooking station set up yesterday
with the 1 cabinet where my microwave, crock pot &
air fryer will be, now he has to put up a over head
cabinet so I have a place to put my plates & small
bowls & stuff I use for that area, & it'll be done.

I forgot to look at the price of gas the last time I was out. Saturday was very quiet and very lonely.

@LindaOHio While that is needed, it's clearly not enough. I hope you can find someone trustworthy to help you out very soon.

@kareng She came on Monday only. She no longer comes on Wednesdays and Sundays. When she's here she only stays for about an hour...just enough time to put the groceries away, make sandwiches and take out the trash.
