Ohio State Highway Officer rescues a stray dog on an interstate

I am sure that Ohio State Highway Patrol Officer Sergeant Brett Claxon only did his act of kindness not for good publicity purposes but doing what is right when a stray dog was on Interstate 77 in Canton Ohio on Wednesday May 14.
Officer Claxon was able to attract the dog into his auto and the dog was safely returned to its owner.
It is not clear why the dog was running on the interstate in the first place even though hopefully the dog was not abused by its owner or abandoned.

I hope they find a better home for him. I wonder how people are love by the dogs and was not attacked, or maybe because the dog is nice also.

I hope he restrained the dog in his auto, as this needs to be done with dogs too, and is often neglected by some people.
It looks to be a fair sized dog, and I would have been afraid to do what that policeman did, as I do not like big dogs.
