We Do Like Clocks

At Christmas I gave my husband a sort of 3-D puzzle.
He enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles, but this was more of a model than a puzzle. It took him no time to have it finished. He had to adjust it once, as he tied the weight a bit too short, but otherwise it is up on the wall and working well.
The pendulum is in the shape of a musical note. I just love it.
The sides of it are open, and you can see the 4 gears that he had to assemble while putting the clock together. And yes, we like clocks, and have a number of them.

What an interesting clock. I hope you don't have cats. They could jump up and get the pendulum.

@celticeagle That was the kind that they have.
The pendulum on his clock was huge and very heavy.
It took him a couple of days to get it set properly so that it did not lose any time and that he could keep it wound up. When they went away for the winters, he always had my brother go over and wind the clock so that it didn't lose time.

Thanks, I love to look really close at it and see the gears working, it reminds me of the grandfather clock that my Dad had custom made for my mother. It was a gorgeous time piece.
There is something so comforting about hearing the second hand moving around the face of the clock, I like that sound.
We don't have any pets.

That's neat. Where did you get it? I might suggest it to my sister for my nephew He is a big puzzler. He could probably use the decor too

@snowy22315 It went together really quickly.
And it wasn't really pricy either.

I think that with our age group there are more that appreciate a nice clock than those that do not.
My son's thing seems to be globes.
I remember when he was about 4 years old, he picked out a big globe on a stand and wanted me to get it so that he could give it to Dad for Christmas. Since then he has collected globes of his own, different sizes and different finishes.

@Juliaacv i think you're right about our age group liking clocks more since we didn't grow up with technology, cell phones or Alexa to find out the time. We relied on clocks and wrist watches.
I always loved globes too but never had a collection. I remember having a really nice one when my kids were growing up but I have no idea what ever happened to it.
