Due to problems that always seemed to pop up during tournament weekends, I didn’t get to go to any Putt Putt tournaments in 2024. As a result, it’s been two years since most of the guys have seen me. The first tournament of the year was here in town, so I was able to stop by yesterday afternoon and see everyone who was in town. Kory made my day. No, he made my year. “Karen!” he said when he saw me. “So…where’s the rest of you?” When you lose that much weight (over 60 pounds), that is one FABULOUS compliment. We didn’t have any amateurs (that’s my division), because this is a far drive for nothing but your entry free as a winning (that’s all we’re allowed to get as amateurs…yes, the pros make money). The four-round event ended in a tie, so there was an 18 hole playoff. It went back and forth, coming down to the last hole before Kris pulled it out. (Lots of “K” people on our tour, huh? We have two potential 2025 hurricanes on the tour: Karen and Jerry. ) The guy in the picture with me is Touchdown Tony. We played together for years in the amateur division, before he turned pro. He’s in the Guinness Book of World Records, believe it or not: he and three others set the world record for most rounds of golf by a foursome in 24 hours. That was 116 rounds, and it was set at our course up in Erlanger. (I’ll put a link to the WCPO Cincinnati news article about it.) It was good to see the guys again. It was even better to get such a sweet compliment!!! The articles about the miniature golf world record:

Just now
Congratulations! I know it's hard to lose weight and receiving a compliment about our weight surely makes our day.

I know how good that feels, to hear someone comment on your weight loss and that you look good. It's work to lose weight! And it takes a lot of willpower as well. Glad you had a good time seeing your friends!
