Like A Fish Out of Water

Good morning myLotters. It is a time of change for me for my work hours. This week begins me starting work 90 minutes later. That means that I am not getting up before the sun, and am not stumbling around the kitchen and the office before starting work. I should actually be wide awake by the time that I begin working. A 90 minute shift changes my habits and my list of what is done and when it is done. In the longrun, I will adjust. Today I just feel like a fish out of water. I hope that your day is off to a much better start.

It is a lifestyle change that is for sure. It hasn't been easy this morning. I am an early riser and liked starting early and finishing early.

I hope this will be a good change. Will you still have to maintain the same number of hours working in a day?

I hope so too, but I really feel 'off' today that's for sure. But my co-workers are all saying the very same thing. I still have to work the same number of hours, another 26 months and then I can join the ranks of retirement. I am not rushing it, I would like to save alot between now and then.

Changing the daily routine is not easy. You will get the habit, but the first week will be hard.

Yes, this is challenging, and it is only a short workweek with yesterday being Victoria Day holiday. I will appreciate the later start when I have to go into the office, which is the case this Thursday.

I can compare it to the time change that we do in the spring and fall, but with it being for 5 days a week. I hope that I adjust. This week will be tricky as yesterday was Victoria Day holiday and I didn't work.

Me too, and now my coffee schedule is off, which is huge. I have a feeling that I will be drinking it more often, when I used to have a break and when I now have a break for the foreable future.

I know how that is best of luck with adjusting, I am lucky that working from home I can adjust my time

I compare it to the spring/fall time change but it will be every morning and all day long for 5 days a week. Today feels really awkward, but the others that started early are saying the same thing.
