Beware of Jugging

I am aware of the device that the bad guys can use to take our bank info from just scanning our bank cards, which is called skimming. But now they are targeting people as they leave the bank. Robbing them. It is smart not to make big deductions from your bank account at the bank. These people loiter around banks and wait for people leaving the bank after making large withdrawals. In Texas alone, more than $500,000 was lost in 2022. It happens all over the country and is becoming a real problem. Why would anyone need to make large withdrawals with debit cards and other ways to do it online nowadays? But it is on the rise. The predator can eavesdrop and hear that you are going to get money from the bank.

I occasionally will have someone go to the bank for me if I'm out of cash. I use cash for my lottery tickets (been playing the same numbers since 1989), haircuts, etc.

I have thought that the same numbers are a good idea. I can't recall the last time I had cash in my hand.

I'm ok I won't be making any large withdrawals any time soon Indonkeep my wits about me when using an ATM though. It's not the safest thing to do these days. Lots of people get robbed at ATM

When I get cash it is not a lot, but some places still require cash not cards or checks. In fact more and more places refuse checks.

I only use checks to pay my rent since the site that I was able to pay it on has not been working for months now.

We don't have many such robberies here but it's always wise to be careful at ATMs and banks.
