As I am still working on the goal I set out awhile back which was straightening up the laundry room, I came upon a box that had a bunch of pics and refrigerator magnets. In the box I found a picture they had taken of Nico at the vet clinic, where he used to reside. The pic is labeled as William, which was little Neeks (Nico's nickname) It is funny. It's a nice pic though. I put it on the fridge covering the name William. Nico was not impressed by his photo, although it is a good one.

I think I renamed only one of my dogs, and it was a dog of my sister’s she had named Amadeus, after the composer. When she got tired of paying me to take care of him she just gave him to me, and I renamed him White Chocolate.
Most of my dogs I got as puppies. Four year old Sadie came with that name, and I didn’t want to confuse her by renaming her.

@AmbiePam Yes, I am hoping it will improve Nico's behavior to have a buddy and a cat of interest in the house. I hope she doesn't pick up his bad habits, if I decide to get one. I think I should try it because with a foster they provide the supplies.

I had decided on Nico long before I got a cat. Actually, I wanted a Nico and Nicky but that part didn't work out. I may foster a kitten though and see how that goes. I will name her Nicky if it goes OK.

No. Peter came to us as Alpine. Blech. Years ago we had a kitty named Heidi so hubby said to call this new guy Peter since it was Peter the goatherd boy that befriended Heidi in the book and movies. Beau Teak came to us as: Lord Voldormort- Harry Potter. I wanted Teak since he is a Siamese. Hubby came up with putting Beau and Teak together. Perfect. Our deceased Samyot- Siamese- was first named Snug. And on we go....

@snowy22315 We have never understood that name. Peter is part Snowshoe so yes he has white along with the Siamese markings but still, it's strange.

He looked at it a little bit. I think he wondered why I was showing him a boring cat photo..

We don’t know our cat’s proper name. The shelter dubbed him Oliver. He’s 7 years old
