Dreams and Goals

Recent events in my life have gotten me thinking more clearly about my future. I have decided recently that enough is enough. It's time I buckle down and do the things I been putting off.
I have decided that between June and September, I would like to take the steps towards things I have been avoiding.
In these months, I will get a new Cellphone because mine is outdated, I will inquire about returning to school, hoping to take a paralegal course, so I can get a decent 9-5 job instead of shift work at some restaurant or something. I am also going to take my written test for my driver's permit, and work towards getting my drivers license, at 42 I think it's time I do these things for myself.
I hope to have taken the steps towards these things in the coming months. It's got me thinking, do any of you have some life goals for the next few months? Would you care to share what they are?

I am so glad to know you are going to take the steps to benefit you finally.
Good luck to you and keep us posted.
For me, my goal is to recover from illness along with my son who is also very ill and then perhaps
move to a bit of land. Let's see what happens.

Wow, thank you for sharing this — it takes a lot of courage and clarity to say “enough is enough” and start actively moving toward the life you want. It’s inspiring to see you setting such thoughtful and meaningful goals, and I truly admire your determination. Each of those steps — from updating your phone to going back to school, and even getting your driver’s license — is such a powerful investment in yourself and your future.
It’s never too late to take control of your path, and 42 is a perfect time to realign with what truly matters to you. I’m cheering you on every step of the way!
As for me, I’ve also been reflecting on some life goals. I’d love to focus more on personal growth and maybe take a short course to build a new skill. You've definitely motivated me to think more intentionally about the next few months.
Wishing you all the best — and please keep sharing your progress! You never know who you might be inspiring along the way.

Thank you, I will for sure. I changed some of my goals since posting this. I'm going to be working hard to get both my blog and my podcast some attention too. I think it's about time, in light of everything that happened that I focus on that for now. Still gonna update my cellphone, and still going to eventually get my license but I have always had a passion for true crime and the paranormal and after what happened to my family it only drives my passion further.
I feel that my blog and my podcast is my true calling, and that's what I'm meant to do with my life. I will certainly be posting updates of my progress though, and hopefully with any luck I will have some exciting news to share in the coming months.
I'm glad I have given you the motivation to pursue your own goals, we got this one step at a time.

Clean my yard, call the plumber. Rearrange stuff. Go back to swimming. I keep thinking I would like to retire, but I would be bored if I did. More crafty stuff would be another goal.

All excellent goals to have, and yeah from someone who is unemployed currently I can say that being home all day with nothing to do can be pretty boring. If you do decide, I would make sure you secure those crafty things and possibly other hobbies as well.

That is good to have a plan, and schedule of things to do like that. I am retired now, and finding it a bit hard to fill in my days, as they are long days sometimes.

They are long days, aren't they? I have filled mine up with things now that I'm not ideal. I got hopes and dreams that I need to explore now, I feel it's time. I'm sure you will find something to occupy your time too.

@indiandevil Thanks.
Just thanking the powers that be, that I am still alive, and healthy, and that I can get out every day for a nice walk is a good start.
