I keep getting an email with an article about tipping. It gives all these rules of when a tip is necessary and how much. I say BS! If the person who is doing me a service does a good job and has a good attitude, then I tip them. If they go out of their way to be kind and thoughtful,l then they see it in their tip. I also ask to speak to the manager if I get overly good treatment anywhere I go. I think that they should be acknowledged and appreciated. I call my service person by name and make it known if I think they have done a good job. I treat them like a fellow human being, not a servant. I don't put up with bad treatment either. And the manager gets an earful if I get bad treatment. I don't go back to places where the manager doesn't seem to care too. The same goes for customer service over the phone. Who set down these rules anyway? Society? One more reason to stay home.
