I was surprised when I talked to my ex today. He might get out as soon as tomorrow. I didn't know this, but apparently they don't do casts any more. His surgery consisted of them putting a rod in his leg to stabilize. He said the leg was fractured, but not completely broken. He said he wasn't in pain, and would have PT today. How he does there will determine the next steps. He said worse case scenario he would have to go to a rehab center for a day or two. He won't be able to drive for While and will spend a few days with his GF. However, much better than it could be. He said the course was muddy and when trying to retrieve his ball from a sand trap he slipped on something which seemed like a sheet of plastic.Anyway, glad things are under control.

@snowy22315 - A rod inserted could have caused pain, I am glad it was not the case.

Yeah, he seemed very accepting of it all. I think originally he thought he was screwed, but is feeling pretty good about things now.

My son has steel rods in his back and in his left arm. Those surgeries are not so easy to recover from, and it takes awhile...PT truly helps so I hope he sticks with that. I am glad to hear he isn't in pain.

He was optimistic. He said that it was alot better than what he was expecting.

Did he manage to make a par on the hole???
I imagine instead of driving he might have to play a long iron off the tee for a while

Not likely, since he was in a sand trap.

I know lol I did read it, muddy course.
If I had been playing against him I would have been checking if the ball had moved in the trap lol

He didn't talk about a boot or crutches, but I am sure he will have to have something at least initially.

Yes, he will likely need several sessions.

It could be the anesthetic hasn't fully worn off. Plus they gave him something at night to help with sleep.
