A grant of $2 million dollars was given to members of the Social Worker Opportunity Tracks (SWOT) which is located in Winnebago County in Illinois on Thursday May 22 to assist a shortage of social workers to assist persons who are having mental issues.
Part of the money to SWOT comes from taxpayers from a half cent sales tax that came from the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board.
Hopefully the grant money will be used to increase more social workers to assist persons in need who need someone to assist them during a mental health crisis.

It is astounding and heartwarming the help and goodness that can come from people getting together to help one another.

To get help these days, you need to go through a lot of hoops first, giving them a lot of personal details, and they record all that you say too, which would be rather off-putting to someone wanting help, but wanting to stay relatively anonymous too.
