No not that. The minor earthquake that hit just after noon today. I was at my desk. There was no "truck hit the building" jolt at the beginning of our usual 4.2 earthquakes. Just a slight rocking or swayng motion. The building did not creak. I guessed 3.0. They're saying it was 3.2, with the epicenter about 2 miles Northeast of me. Have you ever felt an earthquake? Photo (if I can find it) is of Eeyore atop my Acoustic Research turntable after a slightly larger quake a few years ago. He was not hurt.

@TheHorse They were allowing fracking in the southern part of the state a few years ago and we felt it up here. They stopped and then started again. There was a couple of reports earlier this year of minor ones again. I think they have stopped the fracking again.

Nope, I've never felt one and hope I never do. I have enough trouble staying on my feet without the earth moving.
I'm glad it was a relatively mild one.

The closest I've come to an earthquake is back when I used to go to Cape Canaveral and watch NASA launch Space Shuttles. The ground would shake like you wouldn't believe when those shuttles lifted off. You'd see the shuttle lift off, then a few seconds later the ground would start shaking, and then a few seconds after that you would hear the roar of the launch, followed by a sonic boom a few minutes later. It was pretty incredible.

Glad Eyeore made it. We had that big East coast quake centered in this county in 2011 I think it was. That was pretty dramatic. I don't usually feel the smaller ones, but I don't think we have had anything larger than a 2 point something since then.

Did you start singing Carole King's "I Feel the Earth Move"?

Oh goodness, I am glad you are okay, that it wasn't worse. I felt a 20 to 30 second tremor many years ago when I was visiting Montana.

Yes. I've been through two 5.0 quakes. The more recent one felt like someone came behind my chair and hit it with all their strength. Very strange. I'm glad Eeyore was not injured.

@TheHorse I think I told you my husband was down in the salt mine when it happened. He saw and felt the wave go through the ceiling of the cut. I was panicked because I was topside working in the office. The door jamb was moving side to side. I thought my husband was in grave danger; but he was OK.
