Flowering Trees - Crepe Myrtle

I was reading on MSN.com about some flowering trees and that is where this picture is from also.
A Crepe Myrtle Tree are in the southern United States. They can be shorter, if pruned but can grow as tall as 20 feet! They can be mainly used as shrubs in the colder states.
They range in colors from red, pink, purple and white.

Crepe Myrtle are shrubs in Missouri. We had one at our last house but it was eaten up by Japanese Beatles.

I love these trees. They are sometimes used as street trees in Australia.
